Milk and Bread

Don’t fight,
Always talk polite.
If an argument turns nasty,
Immediately get quiet.

Never lie,
Don’t be shy.
If you want to build a name for yourself,
Be a strong guy.

Don’t spread dust,
Be just.
In everything you do,
Always be first.

Of course it is easy to say,
But hard to get.
It feels like I am trapped,
Whenever try to make the first step.

We give our best,
But success never comes easy.
Even if we successfully clear an obstacle,
We mustn’t get lazy.

From toddling to achieving something great,
There is always a hurdle.
If we keep on thinking about it all,
Our mind weighs up with burden.

Sometimes it feels like I want to stop,
Don’t care if I get flop.
But what good will it be,
If I don’t even have a proper job?

We need to be brave boys,
As we haven’t got a choice.
Now it is time to grow up,
And leave behind our toys.

Although life offers a lot to gain,
Remember it is not a game.
If we really work hard with determination,
There is endless fame.

It is nothing but a feeble knot,
Tied on a single thread.
We need to decide very wisely before making every move,
Not so easy just like eating milk and bread.

Ready Now

The sun is yet to rise,
Darkness everywhere.
The possibilities are infinite,
And no place for fear.

Just living at my best,
That’s what I need to do.
Ignoring the empty and meaningless criticism of certain people,
But treating them with kindness too.

I am mentally and physically ready now,
To face the challenges held by this day.
Sticking to my basic principles,
And enhancing my abilities in every possible way.

I Can Count Them

Whenever I remember the year, 2009,

One memory never escapes my mind.

Countless nights I may have seen,

That starry night isn’t difficult to find.

There was a power cut,

So we were lying on the terrace.

Although it was summer,

The weather was quite pleasant.

The stars shone quite bright,

In the moonless night,

I was overwhelmed with delight,

At that beautiful sight.

Lay ahead of me,

The never-ending twinkling streak.

Out of curiosity,

I started counting them like a freak.

I always messed up in between,

Several times though I tried.

The little kid that I was,

I started to cry.

My grandpa came to my side,

To give me a bit advice.

He told me that it is not possible to count the stars,

Because new ones are formed every night.

That small talk somehow made me feel better,

So I ceased to cry.

Whenever I saw the night sky from then on,

I never took a try.

Since that summer,

Eleven years have passed.

The world is not what it used to be,

And the change has been very fast.

I still remember,

That scene well.

Sometimes I wonder,

Maybe it was nothing but just a vision.

Grandfather isn’t with me now,

But his words stayed with me.

He was right, of course,

But what if the environment isn’t pollution-free.

There are not enough stars,

Left to see.

Four or five maybe,

Sometimes show up.

Some people still say,

We can’t count the stars in the sky.

I just simply ask them,

To have a try.

No doubt,

A lot has changed,

That’s the reason why,

I can count them!

Impavido Panthera (Fearless Leopard)

He looks me in the eye,
With never-ending pride.
I try to meet his stare,
But he never seems to care.

He sits like a king,
On the tree’s branch.
Looking at his small but brilliant eyes,
I blanch.

The piercing look,
And his calm and steady demeanour,
They are not so ordinary
With the hint of superiority clearly visible.

He does not budge,
No matter how much you nudge.
This leopard is the ruler of his land,
Dare I stand where he judge.

The thin and fragile branch,
Supports him well.
Not a single human could have sat there
But the heavy animal lies there as if he could never be fell.

The posture is a clear indication,
That he can’t be conquered.
No one should ever try to claim his territory,
Because he don’t like to share.

The front paws are folded,
With hind legs suspended free.
The head lies on the edge of the branch,
Of his very own tree.

The spots on his body,
Are a wonderful black.
There is not a piece of beauty,
That he lack.

The ears are short and slim,
Nose small and thin,
But there isn’t any detail that leaves him unnoticed
And he knows every single thing.

It is the first time I have noticed you so closely,
Though you had been here for more than a year.
Don’t try to scare away the visitors,
They won’t feel your fear.

You live with me forever,
Inside my room.
Although you are just a wall sticker,
Seem to me much more.

If We Could Have Another

The journey we made together
Will stay in our hearts forever
Cause those were the days when we had the best time of our lives
And I don’t know if we could have another

We went on our own paths
Retaining the broken shards
I remember the wonderful moments which made up our souls
But am not yet sure if we could have another

We were seperated by fate
But realised it too late
Still thinking of the time we had together
I ask myself if we could have another

The clips we shot
The songs we recorded
Everything flows back into my mind
Someone please tell me if we could have another

I am lying on my bed
Next to the book I have just read
But it isn’t enough to make up for the absence of my friends
I ask anyone who would listen if we could have another

Thinking of my folks
Now I notice that my bed is stained with teardrops
Crying over the lost memories
I tell myself yes we can still have another
